Game 42: In an attempt to raise money for the city, the Mayor is proposing selling off personal seat licenses for the ballhawk area on Waveland and .Kenmore. This concept similar to the finance plan on other stadiums of selling rights to buy seats. They are selling the tollway, the lottery, and Midway airport to raise some quick cash. In addition to the ballhawk position seat license, there will be a permit process requiring 40 hours of education with an experience ballhawk along with an apprentice program to teach proper etiquette and techniques in the art of ball catching. Wannaabe ballhawks will file sixteen different forms in triplicate along with proof of insurance, including life insurance. The Illinois Sports Authority will monitor this program with help from 23 different federal, state, and local agencies to insure the programs works well. At press time, we have been unable to get verification if this story is true or just some more ballhawk urban myth.
