Senate and House members sat down Thursday to begin working out the differences between the two versions of DUI Bill. The conference committee consisting of three Senate members and three members from the House of Representatives went to work quickly as chairman of the Joint Legislative Conference Committee Senator Larry Martin (R-Pickens) oversaw the discussions.

SAN DIEGO – An Oceanside woman with two previous DUI convictions said yesterday that she wasn't drunk or high when an off-duty San Diego police officer shot her and her 8-year-old son March 15. Speaking with reporters alongside her attorney at his San Diego office, Rachel Silva, 27, also talked about why she was driving on a suspended license.
